Dr. Katie Kaufman, Optometrist, Austin, Texas
Dr. Katie Kaufman was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. After high school, she attended Wichita State University on a cheerleading and academic scholarship. She transferred to the University of Texas at Austin her sophomore year and graduated with honors receiving a bachelors degree in biology. She then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. Dr. Kaufman is experienced at pre and post operative cataract surgery patients and is a licensed optometric glaucoma specialist. Dr. Kaufman has been a member of the Master Eye Associates team since graduation and is currently a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Kaufman's interests include snow skiing, wake boarding, reading, watching UT Longhorn football and spending time with her husband, Jonah, who she married in October 2009. They live in Austin with their two dogs, Rylee and Chance.
