The Bausch & Lomb Zyoptix excimer laser achieved unprecedented results in United States FDA studies. Zyoptix Custom LASIK uses technology that originated from the Hubble Telescope to effectively eliminate visual distortions above and beyond myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) or astigmatism. This information is then used to program the Bausch & Lomb Zyoptix laser to reduce or eliminate those distortions known as higher order aberrations.
