Dr. Kayla A. Kindla is a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Kindla has a keen interest in specialty contact lenses, disease management and treatment, LASIK and cataract evaluation and post operative care, as well as pediatric care including myopia management.
Dr. Kindla is a Texas native who graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science and continued on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. Dr. Kindla completed two externships at William V. Chappell Jr Veterans Outpatient Clinic in Daytona Beach, Florida with a concentration in ocular disease and postoperative care and at Community Eye Clinic in Fort worth, Texas with concentration in ocular disease and specialty contact lens fittings.
Dr. Kindla is a previous board member of the Central Texas Optometric Society and an avid Texas Optometric Association member. Dr. Kindla enjoys spending her time traveling, doing pilates, as well as spending outdoor time with her dog, Duke.
