Dr. Richard Maybury

Dr. Richard Maybury is a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist practicing at the Mueller Office branch in Austin, TX for Master Eye Associates. Dr. Maybury was born in London,
England and moved to the US when he was 9 years old. Dr. Maybury graduated from The University of
Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology degree and received his Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. His
externships were at the Illinois Eye Institute and the Chicago Lighthouse for the visually impaired. He has practiced in Chicago, Denver and Austin.

Dr. Maybury has been the managing doctor of the Mueller location for over 10 years. Previously, he has worked in a large private ophthalmology group and in a private optometric practice. Dr. Maybury performs comprehensive eye exams for both adults and children, fits contact lenses including Soft, RGP and Keratoconus specialty fittings, diagnoses and manages ocular disease cases, and co-manages LASIK and Cataract Surgeries.

Dr. Maybury lives in the Austin area and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three children and loves all things UT.
